SPlayer - Media player User Guide

SPlayer is a media player with clean interface and modern design.

The interface does look clean.

It was able to play all the major video formats.

It automatically takes all the decisions regarding video renderer selection, audio render selection, video decoders, hardware video decoder, resizing algorithm.

All the media control is in the SMPlayer screen.

 Navigation bar is at the bottom of the screen. Sometimes its difficult to access it because it is very thin.

 


 

The context menu is available by right clicking on the SPlayer screen.

Media Files open button can be used to add single or multiple files in the playlist

 

 


 The Play and Pause Button lies in the middle of the screen. Sometimes its difficult to use it because you have to search the center of the screen

 

 

 

The audio and subtitle setting

 

 


 

Audio Track Selection

Audio track can be selected from menu provided at bottom right corner in Audio Settings.



Audio track can be selected from context Audio > Switch Audio Track.


 

Subtitle Track Selection

When multiple subtitle has been loaded, user can select one for playback using menu Subtitles > primary Subtitle.



 

Load External subtitle file

External subtitle file can be loaded using menu Subtitles > Load Subtitle File.

 



 Playback menu


Pause : Pause or Play the media. Keyboard shortcut : Space.

Step forward :  Using shortcut playback can be moved forward in time.

Step backward :  Using shortcut playback can be moved backward in time.


Loop One : When this option is selected Splayer will repeatedly play only one file.

Loop Playlist : When this option is selected Splayer will repeatedly play the playlist.






Preferences

 Preferences window offers very basic customization.

Display language : Here user can select the language for SPlayer interface.

Set as the default Video Player : SEt SPlayer as default media player in microosft windows OS.

Reset all content and settings : This will reset the SMPlayer settings and remove all saved data.
