How to manually download subtitles with Potplayer

Guide for manually downloading subtitles for video files using Potplayer app inbuilt subtitle downloading feature.

• OS : Microsoft Windows 10 x64
• Software : Potplayer 1.7.21396

 

 

Manually download subtitles with Potplayer app

Guide to search,download and load the subtitle to be shown along with the video file being played.

 1. Open Download Subtitles window

 

•  Play a video file using potplayer.
• Select Subtitles > Subtitle Searching > Download Subtitles.
  

 

 

 2. Search  subtitles

If subtitles for the video file being played exist then Potplayer will be show the list of available subtites.

Search by title: User can click on this button to search for subtitle online.

Resend request : Send request to again search for subtitles for the video file.

3. Download and load a single subtitle file

• Select a suitable subtitle which you want to download.
• Click on the Load selected subtitle.
  

 

 4. Download multiple subtitles

 If you want to download and load multiple subtitle in Potplayer then do the followings:

• Check next to multiple subtitles you want to download.
• Select Add checked ones button.
  

 

Since multiple subtitle has been loaded to Potplayer, user need to manually select a subtitle to be shown in Potplayer.

• Select Subtitles > Add/Select Subtitle > .
• Select a suitable subtitle form the list of subtitles to be shown along with the video file.

•  Select a suitable subtitle from the list of subtitles to be shown along with the video file.
  

 

 

Download and save the subtitle file

1. Save single subtitle file

 If you want to download the subtitle files in the storage device.

• Select the subtitle which you want to download.
• Click on Save selected subtitle as.
  

 

• Select the folder using File Explorer where you the subtitle file to be saved.
  
• Select the subtitle format in which you want to save the subtitle from the drop down menu labeled Save as type.
  

• Select the Save button.
  

 2. Save multiple subtitle file

 If you want to download the subtitle files in the storage device.

• Select the subtitle which you want to download.
• Click on Save checked ones.

 

 

• Select the folder using File Explorer where you the subtitle file to be saved.
  
• Select the subtitle format in which you want to save the subtitle from the drop down menu labeled Save as type.
• Select the Save button to save the file in the storage device.
