How to Solve - Task Manager shows Windows Media Player is 32 bit player

Guide for use of 64 bit version of Windows Media Player(WMP) in windows 10.

Microsoft Windows OS by default uses 32 bit version of Windows Media player even when the 64 bit version of Windows Media Player exist in it.

  • OS : Microsoft Windows 10 Pro v2004 x64
  • Software : Windows Media Player x64

It is visible in Task Manager that 32 bit version of Windows Media Player is used to play media files.

I recommend users to Install K-Lite codec pack which has tools to setup use of 64 bit Windows Media Player instead of 32-bit version of Windows Media Player.
